Morgan and Justin’s Summer SkyView at Fall River Village Wedding

Morgan and Justin got married at one of my very favorite wedding venues in all of Colorado – SkyView at Fall River Village. I’ve shot here quite a bit, and it’s always been such a beautiful and fun place. I LOVE the management team and have had a fantastic vendor experience at each wedding that I’ve been a part of – seriously can’t recommend this place enough. Plus, it’s just a short 7-8 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park for couples portraits, and you can see Long’s Peak from their wedding deck for your ceremony. Win win.

On this beautiful day in early July, I met Morgan and Justin at the bridal suite and condos on site to get ready. Justin had the awesome privilege of getting ready with their puppers (and turtle). I’ve been asked multiple times in consults how I feel about dogs at weddings and the answer is always, always a resounding YASSSSSSS. Bring your furry loved ones to celebrate as well. You’ll find my petting and giving them lots of love at some point throughout the day.

For their first look, we headed into Rocky Mountain National Park. We started at Sheep Lakes – which they had the meadow closed to foot traffic (this can happen depending on the time of year – most days it’s from 5:00pm onward though). After they saw each other – and both pairs of absolutely amazing socks worn by both Morgan and Justin – I asked if they wanted to make multiple stops lower in the park at a few locations, or make the drive up Trail Ridge Road and have only one location, but it has that alpine mountain feel. Morgan instantly said Trail Ridge. Thus, we made the drive up to one of my favorite places up on TRR in the park for photos.

After spending some time up on my favorite little rock I have couples get on for photos (because would it really be a wedding day with me if you weren’t scrambling up some kind of rock), we headed back to meet their family and friends for their ceremony.

During their vows – their puppers hung out up front as guests of honor while Morgan and Justin committed themselves to one another. As I’ve said in multiple posts – I remember ceremony tid bits from every wedding that I’ve been to – and Justin getting into all his feels and nearly collapsing to his knees in with an emotive “F*CK” slipping out – that stuck in the memory bank ;). I’m sure you can spot the photos from that moment. It’s better to have all the feels than none of the feels. And as someone with a self-proclaimed sailor’s mouth – let it out.

Now that the gushy part of the day had passed, the party began. As always, toasts brought on a good mix of loving emotions and belt-out-loud laughter. Once the dancing started, it lasted until the very last song. Shirts were flung off, table decor was used as dance props, and many a moves were busted. This is why I offer comprehensive coverage – you don’t get the crazy dance floor until it’s been popping for a little bit. And let’s be honest – busting a move to Mr. Brightside or I Love it is always one of my personal favorite parts of the evening. Ya girl loves dancing out there with you on the dance floor.

Congratulations again, Morgan and Justin!

Cheers –
