Sara and Justin | Della Terra Chateaux Wedding

Savannah Chandler Photography | Estes Park Wedding Photographer

After 11 years together (you read that correctly), Sara and Justin were finally wed this past November at the ever-lovely Della Terra Chateaux in Estes Park, Colorado. Tucked in a stunning canyon on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, Della Terra is an amazing wedding venue with year-round access and just minutes from alpine valleys and big mountain views.

The Bridal Suite and Theater Room | Getting Ready

One of the many things that makes Della Terra such an amazing wedding venue is the entire day happens on-site. The chateaux is also a hotel – with an amazing honeymoon suite for the couple to stay in for the night. When it comes to getting ready, there is a salon space and movie theater on the property.

I met Sara and the ladies in the salon, where everyone was finishing up hair and makeup. Throughout the day, all the bridesmaids were taking Poloraid images. Just down the hall, the gentlemen got ready in the theater. Many times, I’ll enter the theater to either a movie on screen, or video games being played.

Rocky Mountain National Park | Stunning Mountain Views

We all hopped in the cars and headed over to Roky Mountain National Park for couple’s portraits and wedding party images. During the shoulder season, most locations within the park are much more private than during the peak summer months. Sheep Lakes is one of such locations (and is actually off limits due to the Elk rut during certain times). The views of Chapin, Chiquita, and Ypslion peaks from the valley below make for the perfect backdrop. Before heading back to Della Terra, we made a few stops at Horseshoe Park and Moraine Valley to get a few different looks for Sara and Justin.

The Ceremony and Reception at Della Terra

Sara and Justin had their ceremony outside at the Pergola beneath McGregor Mountain. This particular November day was full of mild weather and intermittent sunshine. Surrounded by their friends and family, the couple said I Do and headed into the reception room.

The couple decided to forgo most of the “traditional” ceremonial moments of the reception in lieu of spending more time dancing to their Live Band – Deja Blue. The great thing about getting married here in Colorado is that we’re firm believers in doing your day in a way that you want – and I love being able to party more 😉

Congratulations again, Sara and Justin!

Cheers-
