Kim and Anthony | Twin Lakes Proposal
Savannah Chandler Photography | Colorado Proposal Photographer
Anthony had a whole shindig planned to propose to his girlfriend, Kim.
Located off Highway 82 on the way to Aspen, Twin Lakes is a tiny mountain town that boasts big mountain views. Anthony rented one of the small cabins just behind the only road that runs through the main town. In a rouse to get Kim down towards the East side of the lakes, Anthony told her that they were going to catch some fish.
Just before sunset, I tucked myself into some deep brush and hid until I saw Anthony lead Kim down to our meet spot. One question I get asked often is “Where will you be?” And the answer is – hiding somewhere where you won’t see me, or I’ll be trying on my best Colorado Tourist look to blend in. I was so well hidden in this instance, Anthony walked right by me and had no idea if I was in place and ready to go.
When they got down by the lake, Anthony told Kim that they weren’t there to fish. The quote of the night was right as Kim caught on to the plan –
Kim: No F’n Way
Anthony: Yes F’n Way
And with that – Anthony and Kim were engaged!
We spent some time as the sun crested back behind Bull Hill and Mt. Elbert taking some photos. Fall had fully made it’s way to Colorado as we trekked through the bright yellow and orange Aspens.
One of my best pieces of advice – don’t hold in the happiness and emotions. The best photos come from being yourself, being happy, and interacting with one another. Kim and Anthony did just that – and I love that you can see her excitement through all the images.
Congratulations again, Anthony and Kim!
Cheers-
