The Pines at Genesee Wedding | Riley and Trista
Savannah Chandler | Colorado Wedding Photographer
I’ve known Riley and Trista for some time now. Good ol’ Best Buy has brought many amazing couples into my life. Back in February, we headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park for what turned out to be one of my very VERY favorite engagement sessions. You can check out their sunrise engagement session HERE.
On July 15, 2016 – They invited me to photograph their Pines at Genesee Wedding up the hill in Genesee, Colorado.
They began the day at their respective parents’ homes to get ready, where everyone was in high spirits and having a great time hanging out with friends and family. While Riley and his boys were drinking beer fresh off the in-ground tap, Trista was cleaning dishes willingly in her full makeup and hair. That was a new one for me, having a bride want to clean dishes to help ease the wedding day nerves.
Ready for their first look, we headed out west to their wedding venue. Rain was in the forecast, but we were fortunate enough to get some amazing light and sun for the first look and portrait session. Following the ceremony, we were greeted by slight rain which quickly turned to a pretty good downpour. But leave it to Colorado to stop raining the very moment we were getting ready to call it quits on the outdoor portraits and head inside.
After dinner and dancing, my AMAZING assistant Suzanne and I headed to Downtown Denver with the bridal party. We wound up at The View House, which is an amazing bar complete with corn hole and and a rooftop with a great view of Coors Field.
Thank you again, Riley and Trista, for having me at your Pines at Genesee wedding. It was truly an honor. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Legett!
