Natasha and Andrew | Summit County Engagement Session
Savannah Chandler Photography | Vail Engagement Photographer
This nice little mostly private spot is one of my favorites to visit in early summer for all the wildflowers, and in autumn for the amazing changing aspens. Which I’m sure is apparent from just the first few images how lovely this hidden gem is.
The secret to this amazing location not being overrun by people and photographers – it’s been kept pretty secret over the years. I found it on a hike through the area, and knew it’d be the perfect spot for engagement photographs. With that being said, I’m trying to be a good steward of this amazing state that I call home and won’t be posting the location publically. I hope you all understand <3
Natasha and Andrew wanted amazing fall colors with mountains in the background, so we headed up the hill for a short-ish hike to overlook the Gore mountains. I always suggest starting out on the trail while the sun is still higher in the sky to catch that amazing golden light, then heading back to the trailhead (which is also stunning) for beautiful sunset photographs.
Andrew had brought along his Hasselblad medium format film camera – which was incredibly fun to play around with to attempt to get them a few images. Though I took many years of film photography in college, I haven’t picked up a film camera in many years. It certainly had me wanting to check out the stock at Adorama.
Congratulations again, Natasha and Andrew!
Cheers-
