I can’t believe that July has come and gone!  I’ve been looking forward to heading out to California to photograph Leslie and Dominick’s Newport Beach wedding for just about a year now.  I knew that it would be beautiful, and also one heck of a party.  And their day was just that – incredible all around.

When Leslie first contacted me to see if I was interested in going out to California, to Newport Beach, on a yacht to photograph their wedding, the word “YES!!!!!” couldn’t come out fast enough.  I LOVE destination weddings and traveling to capture beautiful people getting married in beautiful places.

We stayed in Los Angeles for a few days, and had an absolutely amazing time.  On Friday morning, we headed out to Newport and met Leslie and Dominick at their hotel prior to boarding the yacht to capture some details.

The yacht was an awesome place to have a wedding – it was an intimate space where they had a beautiful and emotional ceremony.  Leslie’s brother officiated the wedding.  Being a member of the armed forces, he was unsure until that morning if he would be able to attend.  Having him there was in its self a beautiful surprise.

Once the party got started… the boat was rockin’ 😉  This crowd knows how to have a good times and let loose.

Since we were all extending our stay in California, on Sunday just Leslie, Dominick, and myself headed to Seal Beach to take some bridal beach portraits.  The sun in California is gorgeous – I’m not used to seeing the giant ball of orange drop all the way to the horizon.

I’ll be missing you until next time, California.
