Dustin and Ery | Summit Lake Elopement
Savannah Chandler Photography | Colorado Mountain Elopement Photographer
I’ve known Dustin for over 10 years now. Back in the day, before I made the leap into my photography business, I worked at Best Buy. So did my husband. We got to know Dustin while we were working there. At one point in time, Dustin and my husband were roommates (and I’m told I was there most of the time and might have well been a third roommate 😂).
Back in 2011, I became Mrs. Chandler. During that time, Dustin began dating a gal by the name of Ery. Fast forward to 2019, Ery became Mrs. Poteet when her and Dustin wed on the top of Mount Evans.
To head up to the mountain, we took a party bus from Denver up the ever-so-windy and narrow Mt. Evans Road. Attending their elopement was a few of their good friends (including the best man, my husband) and myself.
Ery and Dustin had decided to have a small, intimate ceremony on top of Mount Evans, at Summit Lake and take a little bit of time to photograph up on the mountain.
Once we winded back down towards Denver, a few of their family members met us at the Coohills bridge (a favorite location of mine if we’re going Urban) for a few quick family portraits before having a celebratory dinner.
Congratulations, Ery and Dustin. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you!!
And look – I even got a terrible photo of my husband and myself 😂. I’m pretty sure he was at least a few sheets to the wind by this point and I was still in work mode.
