Laura and I met back when we both worked at Victoria’s Secret. Needless to say, I think both of us are glad those days are behind us now that we both have “grown up jobs”… or so I tell myself sometimes.
When I heard that Laura and Steve were in a relationship, I was thrilled for the two of them. Laura then wrote me to ask if I was available in October, and I couldn’t of been happier for the two of them and honored to photograph their wedding.
For their engagement photographs, we trekked up to Breckenridge in the wind and cold. They were troopers for putting up with the elements while I made (okay, kindly asked) them to freeze themselves late into the evening to catch the Ice Castles at night. I thought we had some wind at this session… Until we photographed their second session up near Johnstown at a friend’s ranch. HOLY WIND. But again… troopers.
On October 11, 2014 Laura and Steve tied the knot up at one of my favorite venues, Della Terra Mountain Chateaux. Estes park is just so beautiful, and we even caught the tail end of the fall colors. During their ceremony, the wild turkeys decided to make an appearance… and kept coming in droves to give their gobbles of approval. We spent the duration of Laura and Steve’s romantic portraits being cold… again asking the two of them to be troopers. And they were just that. What an amazing couple these two make, a true team.
Thank you for having me be a part of your Wedding day, everything was so beautiful.
